What is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is caused by pressure on a nerve in your wrist.

The carpal tunnel is a channel in your wrist where the median nerve and tendons pass through.

The channel is formed by the bones in the wrist and the transverse carpal ligament.

CTS occurs when the median nerve becomes compressed due to the narrowing of the channel. This compression causes tingling, numbness and pain in your hand and fingers.

The symptoms often present in your thumb, first and second finger.

This can be very painful and cause plenty of sleepless nights 😖💥

Treatment options include:

🌲 hands on physiotherapy to open up the tunnel
🌲 neural sliders to decompress the nerve
🌲acupuncture

Symptoms of CTS can last for up to 12 months if not treated.

Don’t let pain rule your life!
